Gavin Crawls

My little nephew Gavin started crawling tonight. I thought he would do it while we were gone next week, but we were in luck. This means that we have two mobile little boys at my house now, so we are all in trouble. I'll post some video of him later.

A Trip to the Zoo

Since it has been raining all week, we decided that we would take the boys to the zoo today. Aiden really enjoyed looking at all the animals and making their sounds.

This was about the time we also thought about a nice dip in the pool.

We are leaving for Colorado tomorrow afternoon and we packed Aiden's suitcase and carry on last night. Of course he wanted to help and got into the suitcase.

Tomorrow should be an interesting day. We fly out of DFW at 1:30 and get to Denver at 3:30. Then we get to get in the car and drive for two more hours all without a nap. We have been looking forward to this trip all summer and can't wait to see Grams, Gramps, and Ryan. Travis will have his laptop so I'll get to post pictures while we are gone.

Silly Boys

Aiden found a tupperware bowl and decided to put it on his head and Daddy's.

We had a little trouble getting it off Aiden's head because he pushed it down really good.

Gram's and Granddad bought Aiden Christmas pj's last year that were a little to big at the time. We tried them on last night and they fit prefectly, too bad it's 100 degrees outside.

A Little Bit of Nothing

We haven't been up to much lately, just trying to say cool in all the heat. Aunt Lauren and Gavin are here and we're having lots of fun with them.

What a sweet cousin Aiden is. Most of the time. We have to be careful because Aiden likes to play rough and doesn't realize he's a lot stronger than Gavin.

I love this picture. He will only lay down and watch TV like this with Daddy.

Aiden loves to put on shoes and it doesn't matter whose they are. He found a pair of Lauren's heels the other day and not only put them on, but walked around in them.

As you can tell Aiden had a great time last week. I told Travis we may need to invest in a bounce house here so we have something fun to do in the heat.

Busy Week

This last week Aiden and I had Vacation Bible School at church. He had a blast playing in the nursery while I help teach Discovery. I'll load up more pictures of him at VBS later, but here is one of him on the last day with his VBS shirt.

I finally finished painting the hallway this week, but of course not without my little climber's help.

Finger painting is becoming on of our favorite activities this summer.

Aiden does take after me in one area.... shoes. He will put on any shoes that are left around and even go into our closet to find some. The other day he found Travis's cleats and sat down to put them on. It took him a little bit, but he eventually got them on.

His new phrase is "what's that" as he points to something and he knows how to "gallop". I'm not sure where he learned this but it's really cute to watch. He has also learned to catch this week. Future Longhorn in the making. HOOK'EM HORNS
