Babysitting

I got out my Cabbage Patch dolls from when I was little for Aiden to play with. He has been pretending his "Hook'em" is a baby, so I figured we'd try a baby doll. He has not stopped playing with them since I got them out. He takes them everywhere and wants to sleep with them.
Here he is babysitting baby Cohen.

Soccer Game!

Aiden had his second soccer game of the season and he did GREAT!! It was a totally different experience from the first week of crying and not wanting to play. This week he even scored four goals, two were for the other team.
Coming to get a High Five after his goal!

Aiden's New Room

Aiden's new room is almost finished. I have a few more pictures to put on the wall and I need a few more pieces of art work to hang up and then I think we will be done!

New curtains and car rug

Bulletin board for all his school work.

I have two more pictures to hand up on the wall. I'll try to get a better shot when they are all up.

Big boy bed

We let Aiden decide if he wanted to stay in his old room or move into the guest room and redecorate. He decided to move and I think he likes having a bigger room where he can put all his toys. Plus it meant I didn't have to paint another nursery.

I'll put pictures of Cohen's room up soon. Right now it is housing all the things that are going in a garage sale.

First Soccer Game

Last Saturday Aiden had his first soccer game. Friday and Saturday morning all he wanted to do was go to his soccer game. That changed quickly when we got to the game. The first half of the game was spent trying to convince him that he would have fun and just go out and kick the ball.

You can tell by the look on his face he is not excited about this.

This was the theme while he was one the field. Coach Alan would point them in the right direction and help them kick the ball.

Still not having fun.

At this point I think he decided he had enough and wanted to go sit with me.

After much bribing and convincing he got back on the field, still not to sure of it.

You would think he didn't know what to do, just wandering around the field.

Coach Alan just picked him up and made his kick off and that was all it took. He started running after the ball to kick it and having lots of fun.

Totally different kid!

I have some video of the game to post but I'll have to compress it a little first. All the way home all he could talk about was how much fun he had and that soccer was AWESOME! Hopefully the next game will start off a little better.

Texas Forestry Museum

After we went to the zoo we took the boys to the Forestry Museum. Aiden had a great time climbing on all the machines and the train.

"I made it"

Riding the Train at the Zoo

Last weekend Lauren and I took the boys to our parents in Lufkin. While we were there we rode the train at the zoo.

Getting ready to leave the station.

We tried to get a good picture of both boys, but this was about as good as it got.

Aiden could have stayed by the lake and throw sticks all day.

First Soccer Practice

This past Thursday was Aiden's first soccer practice. I didn't get to go but a good friend took a couple of pictures for me.

Aiden and his buddy Nathan. I'm not sure what Coach Alan said that had Aiden putting his head back.

Future Goalie?

What a ham! His first game is this Saturday so which should be very interesting.
